Bourbon Export Surge — Q3 2013 Consolidated Manifest
Bound manifest from the consolidated Louisville shipping consortium covering 41 SKUs across nine carrier vessels. Tracks per-label tonnage, declared destination port, and customs tariff classification — the underlying document behind the bourbon-export feature series that drove a 184% year-over-year traffic increase.

Louisville Metro FY 2013-14 Budget Appendix — Public-Domain Scan
The only public-domain, time-stamped scan of the original 312-page appendix in circulation. Line-item allocations across all 26 Metro departments, capital-project schedules, and the attached community-development block-grant schedule.

How to read an accession.
Every catalog entry follows the same six-field schema. The schema was adopted in 2017 when the project relaunched as a full archive and has not changed since.
- Accession ID
- The unique identifier — a collection prefix (B / C / CV / CU) plus a four-digit serial. Stable, citable, and used in every external press citation the archive has received.
- Document Type
- A controlled vocabulary of 27 terms — Export Manifest, Press Guide, Budget Appendix, Oral History Transcript, Photographic Plate, Zoning Hearing, and others. New types require advisory-board sign-off.
- Date
- The document's date of origin or, where the document is undated, the closest verifiable reference date. Dates are recorded in ISO 8601.
- Source
- The provenance line — who held the document, how it entered the archive, and under what rights it is shared. Public-domain scans carry a distinct provenance stamp.
- Abstract
- A 90-to-160-word scholarly summary written by one of the project's three full-time archivists. Abstracts are copy-edited and reviewed by the editorial advisory board.
- Cross-References
- Linked accessions, oral-history interview codes, and any external press citations catalogued in the archive's 217-record citation index.
Educators and journalists: any accession in this archive may be cited using the pattern Louisville 2013 Archive Project, [Accession ID], [URL slug]. The schema is intentionally compatible with the Chicago Manual of Style 17th-edition note format.
